they do this everywhere here in S. Korea, no matter where you are you are going to see someone drive thier scooter/moped or motorcycle on the sidewalk. its crazy! ive almost been run over like 5 times now.
all the street poles have these spikes on them. my guess is its to keep people from tapeing and stapleing up posters.

personally i think that it woldnt be a bad thing at all.

hey im not saying that we should do it. it was just a thought. there are pros and cons to everything in life.
in one way im for it, but in many ways im not and theyve all been stated. i was just wondering what all of your thoughts were on the issue.

what are some of the things that you miss about not being a jw any more ?
for myself i'd have to say it was the close relationships with the people there, some i don't miss at all, but some i really do miss, like the kids that i grew up with .
during my childhood.
i only miss one thing.
the family that i grew up with. they even put me up in there house when i had some rough times. though they did kick me out when thier oldest son, and ex-bethilite, found out i got drunk and was making out with another drunk witness chick. then told his parents and i got the boot because thier son said he didnt want me in the house anymore.
sucks but i know that he was just more brainwashed then the rest, and inspite of that happening i still have some love for that family. they were my second home for 15yrs of my life. i was the only person who could just walk right in that house.
one of thier sons became more like a brother to me then a friend, he too almost got out but at the last few moments decided against it. i think he got scared because of the being shunned part by his family or what have you. the parents used to think of me as just another one of thier sons.
anyway i still keep in contact with them and they still might wonder how i am. but then again since im not a member of the borg they might have just brushed me off, but even after it was official and i DA'd myself they still invited me over for dinner in a way to say goodbye.
thier father stepped down from being an elder many years ago and doesnt go to meetings as often as he used to. said he had anxiety problems being around all those people, that might be true but maybe he just found out the real "truth" and couldnt stand being around it anymore, but he loves his family so he stays in. and now that im out i think its the latter. maybe ill ask him next time i see them.

it would help pay for education with the G.I. bill.
it would help kids to mature therefore helping society in a small way to mature. right? because you would have learned responsibility and have gotten good work ethics, among many other things.
they would get paid.
get healthcare.
learn a job skill. if you pick the right MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) that is.
i cant think of more beneficial things at this moment but there are more. if you disagree why? do you think a draft is better? not that this is going to happen anytime soon. but it is an interesting topic for debate.
i know the dubs would have a fit trying to find new ways to get people out of doing this.

i just like to know what activities you all are into.
well thankfully a found a great woman to fill the void in my life. in more ways then one she has helped me without even knowing that she was. then we had a son and now he takes precident in our lives. she is not the slightest religious and doenst go to any church and that has helped alot. even though i grew up in the borg i never really took hold of it. the only real reason i even got dunked was cuz my friends did it.
so for me getting out was easy, plus joining the army and being away from everyone and everything i knew has greatly helped. i used to think i was runnning from my problems but not anymore. if anything i escaped what was holding me down and back from progressing to be human.
ill be in the fort lewis area here next month as my report date is 10 JUL 07. not really sure if im going to live on post or off-post yet. me and my wife have been discussing it and so far we think its going to be better for us on post as the rent in that area is kind of high. maybe once i get promoted and she starts working well be able to afford off-post housing.
btw im looking forward to maybe meeting some of the people from this boar that live in that area once me and my family get settled in.

after a recent spell of very warm weather several ant hills have popped up in the yard near the house and yesterday there were ants in the dogs food bowl inside the house.
any suggestions?

you think im kidding but it works. just pour some on there, wait like 10 mins then pour some more wait again and pour again, then light it on fire. it works trust me. i did this in my backyard and it worked. though the grass did kind of die around the ant hill because of the gas but hey it better then getting bitten by all the ants. and the grass grew back in a short amount of time.

why are people so stuck on "they didnt have WMD's the war is based on lies!"
we gave them a warning telling them that were going to invade, which gave them plenty of time to get the WMD's out of the country. even before the warning dont you thinkn that saddam knew the u.s. was coming after him. the dude wasnt that stupid. of course he is going to hide them or ship them out somewhere. so its no wonder we never found them, because they were already gone.
everyone says that there is proof he didnt have them because we havent found them. well the answer is right there WE HAVENT FOUND THEM, doesnt mean he never had them.

wow politics and religion. two topics that people will always see only what they want to see and always think they are right. no matter what eveidence points to the fact that they may be wrong about something. sound familar? think JW's.
anyway all this bashing comes down to one thing, people will see what they want to see to support thier own opinions! period!
as for the general public of this country, and i hate to say it, but they are stupid. even more stupid then most people consider bush to be. they believe and eat up anything that is said in newspapers and tv and other news/media outlets. all of which the stories have some minor fact in it but are then blown out of porportion to support thier own agenda. they then bring in some person who claims to know all sorts of stuff, but even then what he states is just a well educated guess that he came up with because he read some material that he wanted to find and see because it supports his own opinions.
my point- whether you agree with the admistration, bush, or the war, the fact is that it is going on, something needs to be done and its not a withdrawl of troops. if that happens things will only get worse. the iraqi government will have collapsed and the people felt abandoned by the u.s. and that will only make more enemies. that will also prove al quida as being right about the u.s. and then empower them to take over as the iraqi government. then before you know it we will have radical islamists in our own country and they will destroy all they can. if some poor, uneducated mexicans can hop the border, then why couldnt a semi-educated, not-so-poor fundamintalist group such as al quida get into our country across the same border. dont forget that mexico is not friends with the u.s. they supported hitler and many of our enemies in times of war, and what do you know?! were at war again, so what makes you think that mexico wont support the terroists groups of this war?
the only solution is to support what is going on over there. whether you like it or not its the only right thing to do! there is plenty of good things and progression being made in that country. but the media wont report it because the american public doesnt want to hear it. besides that it wouldnt surprise me if the groups that help fund the stories the media puts out is the next group waiting in line to take over the office in teh white house. they think they can do better so they want the public to hate whats going on so that the public will vote for them. man do i hate poloticians!
